Hi everyone!!
I am quite new to the forex, but hav been practicing using demo accounts. I don't have a huge amount of money to invest, about 1500 GBP/3000USD. I have read from many sources, that although brokers like Alpari offer a minimum deposit od 250/500/1000 USD etc. it is NOT a good idea to open a regular account with such a small deposit. Instead deposits like the one i intend to make should ONLY be made into a MINI account, Alpari state that their is NO difference in their regular account to a mini account. I no this sounds confusing. I want to open a mini account with a UK Broker. Can anyone explain/ help me?
Thanks for reading this
James

Hi

It is possible to open a so called regular account and trade regular contract size (1 lot =100,000 units of base currency).

We do not divide our accounts into mini and standard hopefully not to cause confusion but to offer more choices to our clients. Even if a client has a regular account he can trade mini and micro lots.

If you deposit 1,500 GBP you would be able to trade 0.01 (1,000 units of base currency), 0.1 (10,000 units of base currency) and 1 lot (100,000 units of base currency).

Hi James,
If you have USD3k, Alpari is best suit for you, since it offer mini and even micro lots. The only disadvantage I see is Alpari high fee for withdrawl if you are a micro lots user.

cheers!

Alpari does not charge any fees for withdrawals and deposits.
